Spring Release Weekend 2016

Spring Release Weekend is full of amazing wine tasting and fun events throughout the valley. Here are some of the great things happening this weekend:

CAVU Cellars is releasing their latest wines and hosting Tasdemir Rugs & Island Ambiance for a Turkish Rug Trunk Show! These exquisite handmade Persian rugs will be available all weekend along as well as having photography on display by Donna Lasater and Fran Walker. 

This event opens May 6 and 11 a.m. and ends May 8 at 5 p.m. CAVU Cellars is located at 175 E. Aeronca Ave. in Walla Walla.

Canoe Ridge has a weekend full of great events. On Thursday the 5th from 6-8 p.m. Bill Murray will be hosting a winemaker dinner with delicious food paired with exclusive wines at Whitehouse-Crawford. Reservations are required. $80 for Wine Club members and $95 for guests. Call 509-525-1843 to register or email

Then, May 6-8 Canoe Ridge invites you to relax in their sunny courtyard for tastings. They are also offering wine purchase discounts, wine club discounts, and coffee from Walla Walla Roastery. Local singer and guitarist Mckenzie Lindsey will perform Saturday from 1-5 p.m. Sunday Moms can enjoy a complimentary tasting and 10% off their purchases. 

Canoe Ridge is located at 1102 W. Cherry St. in Walla Walla.

Forgeron Cellars is introducing their 2014 Façon Blanc, 2013 Façon Rouge, and 2013 Barbera. There will also be special case pricing at 15% off per case (mixed cases included) or 20% off for club members. 

Forgeron Cellars will be open May 6-8 from 11-5:30 daily for Spring Release and is located at 33 W. Birch St. in Walla Walla 

Tertulia Cellars is offering an exclusive event to spend the day touring the Elevation Estate Vineyard and tasting the first offering of the Tierra Labrada wines the vineyard has produced. This special tasting is on May 7th. Guests will meet at Tertulia Cellers and carpool to Elevation Vineyard. Once on site Whitman Professor of Geology, Kevin Pogue, will lead a guided tour of the vineyard explaining its unique terrior. The tour is followed by a special tasting of the Tierra Labrada Cabernet Cauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. Reservations are required. This event begins at 10 a.m. at Tertulia Cellars which is located at 1564 Whiteley Rd. in Walla Walla.
