Food is an important aspect of everyone's life and teaching kids about food is an excellent way to foster passion for local, healthful food. The Walla Walla Valley Farm to School program is dedicated to educating and empowering local youth through school gardens, farm field trips, cooking lessons, and more! To support our Farm to School program the Maple Counter Cafe is hosting a Spaghetti Feed fundraiser.
Farm to School is a national initiative that gives students access to healthy, local foods in school lunches and through school gardens along with educational opportunities for children and their families. Through education families can make informed food choices.
The Spaghetti Feed is Thursday January 28 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Maple Counter Cafe which is located at 209 E. Alder St. in Walla Walla. The cost is $13 per person, $8 for kids 12 and under, soft drinks for $1 and wine for $5.
