Day 70: What's Cooking Personal Chef Service

Nothing better than home cooking, unless it is a class that shows you how. What’s Cooking Personal Chef Service with Chef Colleen is offering a wide variety of small hands on cooking classes. Participants have the opportunity to get some new recipes, instruction on how to make them, and a chance to sit down and sample their fares. Below is a sample of some of the upcoming classes:

Chinese New Year - Sunday January 30, 1:00 - 4:00, $55

Welcome in the year of the Rabbit! This is an intermediate level Chinese cooking class where we create dishes such as dumplings, long life noodles & classic stir-fries.

Chocolate Decadence - 2 session class on Saturdays Feb. 5 & 12, 1:00 - 4:00, $59

Impress your valentine with hand-made chocolate truffles, the best brownies, and flourless hazelnut chocolate cake.

Italian Wine Bar Foods - Saturday March 5, 11:00 - 2:00, $75

Italian wine bars are just as much about food as wine. The dishes are simple, seasonal, and perfect for casual entertaining and wine pairing. You will take part in the preparation of arancine di risi (fried stuffed risotto balls), tuna-stuffed Peppadew peppers, mini meatballs with caramelized onion, Marcella Hazan's baked stuffed mushrooms, crostini with gorgonzola & hazelnuts, and crostini with marinated mussels & roasted red pepper.

Modern Irish Cooking - Wednesday March 17, 5:45 - 8:30, $49

Irish cooking is much more exciting then corned beef, cabbage & boiled potatoes. On my trip to Ireland I enjoyed memorable gourmet meals featuring fresh seafood and creamy dairy products. Join Chef Colleen for a 4 course modern Irish meal.

Crepes - Wednesday April 13, 9:30 - 12:00, $39

Crepes have made a come back. Elegant, but easy dishes that can be prepared in advance. You will make crepes for breakfast, lunch, dinner & dessert.

Chef Colleen also offers delicious meals made to order. To find out about what she is cooking this week and upcoming cooking classes see her web site at http://www.chefcolleen.com/index.html
