Day 38: Festival of Trees-Junior Club of Walla Walla

It’s the “Sparkle of the Mini’s!” Better hurry to bid on your favorite mini Christmas tree, as final bids are due December 11, 2010. More than 30 trees are on display as part of the Junior Club of Walla Walla’s silent auction at the Marcus Whitman Hotel and Convention Center. All proceeds will be donated to either Walla Walla Hospice, Friends of Children of Walla Walla, Habitat for Humanity, The YWCA, Heritage House or the Blue Mountain Humane Society.

Looking for a fully decorated mini tree complete with lights and decorative surprises? The third annual fundraiser by the Junior Club of Walla Walla is your best bet! The organization distributed mini trees to local businesses in November; they have been decorated at the business’s expense and returned for display at the Marcus Whitman.

As you enter the main lobby, just follow the “sparkle” and begin your bidding. There is something for everyone: the golfer, quilters, wine aficionados, sweet lovers and even those looking to celebrate New Year’s Eve. Decorations run from bike parts and swirls of red cotton to nail polish and money!

Hurry and place your bid and help the Junior Club help those in the valley that are less fortunate this Holiday season.

Happy Holidays!
