Care & Share Food Drive

The Walla Walla Association of Realtors is sponsoring the Walla Walla Balloon Stampede by having a fill the basket challenge as a part of the annual Care & Share Food Drive. Bring non-perishable food items to the Balloon Stampede and help fill the basket!

The Care & Share Food Drive brings food and funds to support those in need in the Valley. Through the Balloon Stampede the Walla Walla Association of Realtors hopes to create additional awareness about the need in our community. 

Each year local Realtors and affiliates hand carry orange bags to every home in Walla Walla and ask the residents to fill the provided bag with food to donate to those in need. Local Realtors will pick up the bags as well as reach out to area schools. In addition to this community wide outreach this year's food drive will include the filling of a hot air balloon basket at the Balloon Stampede over the course of the week's events.

The food drive balloon basket will be in Tietan Park each morning beginning on Wednesday Oct. 14th. Each donation will receive an orange Care & Share wrist band as a thank you. 

Last year's Care & Share drive brought in a staggering 40,465 pounds of food to be distributed by the Blue Mountain Action Council. Let's make this year's food drive even bigger by filling the balloon basket too!
