D'Olivo Tasting Bar

Last week I went to D'Olivo to check out the newest store downtown. They are focused on providing a hands on, fun experience for every customer that comes into the store.

D'Olivo's focus is on olive oil and vinegar. They carry almost 80 different types. D'Olivo sells Ultra Premium olive oil. Ultra Premium is a standard that provides olive oil of the finest quality. D'Olivo also rotates its olive oils out as the seasons change to ensure that the freshest product is always available. 

Many of the oils and vinegars are infused with different flavors, including citrus, sweet, salty, and more. These oils and vinegars can be used in cooking, as dressings, toppings, and more. D'Olivo staff will also suggest mixing specific flavors together for an entirely new flavor experience.

D'Olivo also carries 40 loose leaf tea flavors, pasta, gluten free pasta, flavored salts, flavored sugars, spices, fresh roasted flavored nuts, baskets, kitchen accessories, and more. The owners strive to carry as many regional products as possible. 

The coolest part of the experience at D'Olivo is that you can taste almost everything in the store- from the olive oil, to the special Bloody Mary mix, to the fresh roasted nuts. I was more than a little incredulous about tasting olive oil and vinegar. I'm not the biggest fan of balsamic vinegar, but I was pleasantly surprised. The flavors are incredible and unlike any oil or vinegar I've tasted before. I highly recommend tasting everything, it's a great experience and the tasting is free! 

Prices for the oils and vinegars range from $7.00 to $17.95 depending on size. 

D'Olivo is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day and they have a loyalty program. D'Olivo is located at 10 E. Main St. in Walla Walla.
