The 7th annual Return to the River Salmon Festival is this weekend. Get ready for a luncheon that you will not forget! The Return to the River Salmon Festival is an opportunity to eat delicious, local salmon while learning about the heritage of our area.
The luncheon consists of salmon and sides, with a tribal dance performance. This cultural experience is presented by the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation and the Water and Environment Center at WWCC. The luncheon is from 12-1 p.m. on May 30th and is $11 per person for the lunch and tribal performance. Children's hot dog lunches are available for $5.
There will also be activities for all ages that include: interactive exhibit booths, wildlife cartoon drawings, and birds of prey. These are available from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on May 30th.
The Return to the River Salmon Festival is located at Walla Walla Community college, by the ball fields on Tausick Way.
