Sweet Organics with Blue Mountain Land Trust

Blue Mountain Land Trust presents Sweet Organics- a great way to learn about organic agriculture in the Valley and kick off Memorial Day weekend. The day begins at Welcome Table Farm. At the farm participants can meet owners Andy and Emily Asmus and their draft horses as well as see their land and learn about their farming techniques. 

Following the Welcome Table Tour there will be a picnic style lunch on the farm. Bring your own lunch and enjoy the farm experience. 

After the picnic the second stop will be at Walla Walla Organics, the local organic sweet onion farm of Dan and Sarah McClure. Here you will learn everything you ever wanted to know about Walla Walla Sweet Onions, including quality, taste, and healthy farming practices. 

Sweet Organics is Friday May 27 from 10 am - 2 pm beginning at Welcome Table Farms which is located at 1812 Old Milton Highway in Walla Walla. Cost for the Sweet Organics tour is $10 for adults, those 17 and under are free. Tickets can be purchased at http://bmlt.org/lol/sweet-organics. This event is sponsored by Cayuse Winery.
