Froghollow Farm is having an heirloom plant sale! Take a short drive to the farm- it will be well worth it for all of the gorgeous, local plants ready to be planted straight in your garden.
Expect to find numerous heirloom tomato varieties, eggplant, sweet peppers, hot peppers, herbs, edible flowers, and pest control flowers. There will also be wine barrels from Seven Hills Winery that are great for planting, homemade tomato cages, and apple-mint ice tea.
Why buy heirloom? Heirloom varieties of plants are passed down from generation to generation. Preserving these different varieties ensures increased biodiversity in our food crops for future generations. Heirloom varieties also come in a variety of colors, shapes, and textures.
The sale runs April 24-May 22 on Friday and Sunday from 10-5. Frog Hollow Farm is located at 174 Frog Hollow Rd. in Walla Walla.
