Arts Portal Gallery Opening

The new Arts Portal Gallery is having their Grand Opening reception this Saturday! Join them from 2-4 p.m. for an ice cream sundae bar and live, family-friendly music while experiencing the exhibit entitled "Central Dreams..." Musicians from McLoughlin High School will perform, as well as the Mac-Hi Poetry Club. 

"Central Dreams..." features submissions by students from Central Middle school, as well as  from artists from the area. The student's pieces explore their hopes and dreams for themselves, their families, and their community. 

The gallery, which will be open from April 30- December 18, will feature artists from a wide variety of view points in an inclusive atmosphere and provides opportunities for everyone to have access to art. This exhibition is part of a city-wide initiative called "Talk Play Dream- Hablar Jugar Soñar" to create bilingual family arts programming.
