There's a brand new store in town! Kamalot's Kastle is an alpaca product and gift store located in the Die Brucke building, right across from Macy's Shoe department.
At first glance Kamalot's Kastle is an alpaca store. They carry beautiful alpaca throws, detailed sweaters, scarves, capes, children's winter accessories, the best socks (according to the owner- and they are made in the United States!), and even alpaca long johns. They also carry local yarn and will be carrying yarn from their own farm soon. The quality is superb and much of the product comes from Peru where the fiber is grown, processed, and turned into a final product. While I was there I tried on a cape made from baby alpaca fiber and it was incredible. Very chic and incredibly light despite its warmth. Don't be daunted by price either, they have alpaca products in almost every price point.
Kamalot's Kastle carries far more than alpaca products. They have loose leaf tea by Tao of Tea in Portland. You can purchase it in tins, or purchase a cup for $1.00 and they have a variety of green, herbal, and black teas to choose from.
They also carry artisan chocolate made in San Francisco and grape juice made from wine grapes, which gives it an entirely different flavor than any other grape juice you've tried. And the soap! They have a variety of scents but my favorites were the wine soaps. They have a bright, tart, slightly fruity aroma that is intoxicating.
Kamalot's Kastle is a great addition to downtown. They carry a great variety of products and are open from:
11:00 - 6:00 Monday-Thursday
11:00 - 4:00 Friday
1:00 - 6:00 Sunday
Kamalot's Kastle is located at 38 E. Main St. #105 (inside by Macy's shoes) in Walla Walla. For more information you can visit their Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/Kamalots-Kastle or on their website at http://www.kamalotskastle.com/.
