Staged Reading: Auschwitz and After


Shakespeare Walla Walla presents the staged reading of "Auschwitz and After" written by Charlotte Delbo. The play was adapted from Charlotte Delbo's memoirs by Patrick Henry, Whitman College Emeritus Professor and recounts friendships forged in Auschwitz that allowed a group of French women to survive the war. It goes on to explore their difficulty in returning to their new lives in Paris after the war.

This staged reading features a cast of 11 actors and is directed by Whitman College's Theatre Professor Nancy Simon. Patrick Henry will be available for a talback session after the reading. Tickets are $12 for adults, $5 for faculty, and free for students. The reading will be on January 20th at 7:00 p.m. at the Powerhouse Theatre in Walla Walla. The Powerhouse is located at 111 N. 6th Ave. in Walla Walla.
