Day 114: Dogs Day Out-Blue Mountain Humane Society

Every dog deserves a day out. Here is your chance to help. The Blue Mountain Humane Society has a program that gives volunteers the opportunity to take a dog for a walk, bring them out to socialize, or take them home for a visit. For youth under the age of 21, there are opportunities to volunteer at the shelter by socializing with the pets or brushing their hair. Every Thursday the shelter has a BMHS 101 orientation. This is required to be a volunteer, although anyone is welcome to attend. The Blue Mountain Humane Society is currently looking for a volunteer to take a dog or a cat to the Odd Fellows Home every Friday from 2-3pm. If this is something that you are interested in, call Danielle Orchard at 509-529-5188. The shelter is located at 7 E George in Walla Walla.
