The annual Walla Walla Eastgate Lions Club Crab Feed is being hosted Saturday, February 19th at the Walla Walla Fairgrounds. This has been a popular event and tickets must be purchased from a Lion’s Club member prior to the event.
The Dungeness Crab is brought in fresh from the Oregon Coast. Diners are urged to bring crab crackers to crack their servings of crab. Along with the crab they will be served baked beans, coleslaw, and fresh garlic bread. Proceeds from this event are used locally for site and hearing needs as well as youth programs. The Eastgate Lions Club meets twice a month. They volunteer their time in the Sight and Hearing Trailer that comes to Walla Walla once a year and participate in White Cane Days, Monies collected from the White Cane fundraiser are used to support programs and services for people who are blind or visually impaired as well as for sight conservation.
