Day 64: Ski Bluewood

Looking for a spot to go skiing? Ski Bluewood is just 21 miles from Dayton and 52 miles from Walla Walla. Bluewood is best known for their great tree skiing, sunny weather and powder dry snow. Bluewood is open on all winter holidays and Wednesday-Sunday on other days. The ski resort is full service with lessons for all ages, a cafeteria with good food, plus a bar and an espresso stand.

January 8th the ski resort will start their Ski Scout Program for grades 1-8. This is a 3 or 6 week program with two group lessons on either Saturday or Sunday. The cost is $210 for 6 weeks and $105 for 3 weeks.   Bluewood also offers specialized instruction for all levels of skiing and snowboarding including children's programs, the newest being the kids club, and women's workshops. To ensure a safe and fun first day, Bluewood offers a FREE group lesson to all first timers who purchase a platterpull ticket or platterpull package. Lessons are offered at 10:00 am and 1:00 pm.
