Fall Release 2016

Fall Release is right around the corner! Fall Release is the end of harvest celebration for wineries in the Walla Walla Valley. There will be special pours, winemaker dinners, entertainment, education, and more. This year Fall Release is November 4-6. Enjoy the beautiful fall colors and autumn chill while exploring the best of Walla Walla wines. 

Below is a list of some of this year's Fall Release events in alphabetical order. This is not a comprehensive list but is a great start for planning your weekend.  

Balboa Winery: Tastings with food by Mamita + Horte's Tamales and Tacos from 11-4 pm. Located at 4169 Peppers Bridge Rd. in Walla Walla. 

Browne Family Vineyards & Canoe Ridge: Winemaker Dinner at Whoop em' Up Cafe Saturday at 8 pm. Enjoy fine wines and a delicious selection of Southern inspired comfort dishes. Whoop 'em Up is located at 13 E. Main St. in Walla Walla. 

College Cellars: Taste two new wines from College Cellars bottled this year along with several vintages. A soup luncheon will be provided by the Wine Country Culinary Institute on Saturday. Located at 500 Tausick Way in Walla Walla. 

DAMA Wines: Four course French themed dinner with wine pairings, French music, readings, and drawings by Todd Telander to create an immersive experience. Saturday from 6:30-10. Located at 51 E. Main St. in Walla Walla. 

Dunham Cellars: Tasting and winemaker Rhizome dinner on Saturday from 5:30-8 pm. Located at 150 E. Boeing Ave. in Walla Walla. 

Enchanted Cellars: This is the debut of the Enchanted Cellars label. Taste their wine Saturday and Sunday 11-4 at 8052 Old Highway 12 in Walla Walla. 

Forgeon Cellars: Sensory and Terrior seminar will teach you how to evaluate wine on Friday at 2pm in the downtown tasting room. Located at 33 W. Birch in Walla Walla.

Foundry Vineyards: Opening art reception of Matthew Day Jackson's new sculptures from 5-7 on Friday. Winmaker's dinner Saturday featuring a 4 course meal by chefs Samantha Shelton and Brenna Frisbie from 6-9 pm. Located at 1111 Abadie St. in Walla Walla. 

Flying Trout, Waters, and TERO Estates: Enjoy Flying Trout's release of three new wines along with food by La Ramada in Milton-Freewater, and music by Phil Lynch on Saturday. Located at 52015 Seven Hills Rd. in Milton-Freewater. 

Kontos Cellars: Tastings with Dancehall Days performing live Friday from 7-10 pm. Located at 10 N. 2nd Ave. in Walla Walla. 

Northstar Winery: Tastings of two new wines all weekend. Cheese from Cheese Louise on Saturday along with music by The Dakota Brown Band from Noon-3. Located at 1763 J.B. George Rd. in Walla Walla. 

Skylite Cellars: Barrel & Burn Saturday featuring pumpkin chili and Spiced Cabernet wine. Tastings all weekend of the library 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon along with several other wines and charcuterie from Cugini's. Located at 25 S. Campbell Rd. in Walla Walla. 

Waterbrook Winery: Firelight Festival Friday featuring fire pits, floating lanterns, food, live music, and more! Located at 10518 Hwy 12 in Walla Walla.
