Tennis Camp

Walla Walla Parks and Recreation is having tennis camps for kids this summer. This is a great opportunity to build skills and foster an appreciation for tennis. There is a class available for all skill levels. Every participant receives a t-shirt. Racquets are provided.
There are 3 class types available:
Quick Start (Ages 6-11) - Fun active sessions that introduce and guide the development of youngsters utilizing quick-start tennis equipment (smaller rackets, lighter balls, shorter nets, and smaller courts) so anyone can learn the game. Great for students with little or no experience.

Beginning/Intermediate (11-14) - For students who have little or a moderate amount of tennis experience. This session will provide the basics in instruction in a fun and supportive environment.  Focus on basic form for every shot, point development, and footwork through games and drop-feed drills.

Academy (14-18)– For students familiar with the basics of tennis and have the ability to have short rallies on a full court.  This class will build skills while developing competition and tactics. These intermediate players will work on developing solid ground-strokes, serves, and volleys through games and drop-feed drills. The last thirty minutes of camp will be point play or games involving longer rallies with just academy players.

Session IV: July 6 - 8
Session V: July 20 - 22
Session VI:  August 10 - 12
Cost is $50 for Quick Start, $70 for Beginning/Intermediate, and $90 for Academy.
