Studio TWOZEROTWO

I stopped by Studio TWOZEROTWO and met with Emma and Brandon Kubrock to talk about the Studio. Right away the space catches your eye. There are pops of color, unique art pieces, and a minimalist feel that lends itself to a big city vibe while still fitting in with our downtown.

The Kubrocks and Aryn and Edith Morell opened Studio TWOZEROTWO in April of 2014. There were several artists interested in starting a gallery, and both the Kubrocks and the Morells were hoping to open a tasting room.  It was, according to Brandon, "The perfect storm."  Out of that perfect storm Studio TWOZEROTWO was born. At the Studio there is an equal focus on the art and the tasting.
Each balances the other to create a relaxed, approachable atmosphere.

Studio TWOZEROTWO has two labels available for tasting. They are Ardor Cellars and Alleromb WInery. All of the fruit for the wines is sourced from the Pacific Northwest.

Ardor Cellars makes several wines that are available for tasting. The white wines that they have are a Marsanne and Picpoul Blanc blend and a Roussanne and Viognier blend. They also have a Mourvedre Rose . For red wines they have a single vineyard Syrah blend and a Syrah/Grenache blend.

Alleromb Winery makes Estate wines from two Vineyards. The white wines come from La Reyna Blanca and they are a Sauvingon Blanc and a Chardonnay. The red wines come from Scarline Vineyard. They include Syrah, and Scarline Cabernet Sauvingon, and two red wine blends: Cuvee B, Cuvee R

The studio also has Gard Vintner, Matthews Estate, and Tenor Wines for purchase.

There are currently three resident artists that have permanent collections at Studio TWOZEROTWO. The current resident artists are Penny Michel, Anne Hysell, and Helene Wilder. They all work in different mediums and have strikingly variant styles. There also is a new artist that rotates each quarter that has a collection at the Studio.

Studio TWOZEROTWO is located at 202 E. Main. Their hours of operation are Thursday: 11-6, Friday: 11-7, and Saturday 11-7. For an appointment call 509-200-9157.
