Quilts are incredible. They are handmade works of art that are lovingly stitched together by family and friends. These blankets were intended to provide comfort and warmth while preserving the history of our area in cotton, silk, muslin, and flannel.
The Our Old Quilts- Patterns of Love and Memory quilt exhibit features 21 quilts on loan from people in the Dayton area. These quilts represent the women in our communities from 1880 to 1980 through their artful techniques, patterns, and variety of fabric choices. Walking among the quilts transports you to different points in history and allows you to glimpse what life was like at those times.
The Our Old Quilts- Patterns of Love and Memory Quilt Display is going on right now through Oct. 21 at the Dayton Historical Depot. The Dayton Historical Depot is located at 222 E. Commercial St. in Dayton WA. Admission is free and you can vote for your favorite quilt.
