GO is a 3,000 year old Asian board game that is simple to learn and difficult to master. Originally created in China, GO became popular with Japanese nobility and continued to spread around the world. Throughout the centuries GO has gained popularity and is now played worldwide.
GO is a game of strategy where a player attempts to capture more of the other player's stones than the number of their stones that have been captured. GO has very few rules and a surprising number of possible moves. It is traditionally played on a 19x19 board, but smaller boards can be used for beginners.
What could be more fun than pizza, enjoyable people, and learning to play a new game? The Walla Walla GO Club meets at Sweet Basil Pizza every Wednesday night at 6:30 to hone their skills. This is a free event and all ages are welcome.
