"Dear White People" Film Showing

Whitman College presents a showing of "Dear White People" at Cordiner Hall. "Dear White People" is a film about Sam White, a mixed race film producer who attends a prestigious, predominately white school. He airs a radio show called 'Dear White People' and publishes a book entitled 'Ebony and Ivy' which causes a stir on campus.
The events at this fictional university are inspired by Justin Simien's experiences as an African-American student.

This film is thought-provoking and creates a platform for debate on a variety of issues regarding race in our society.

The screening is scheduled for February 19th from 7-11p.m. at Cordiner Hall. Cordiner Hall is located on the corner of Boyer St. and Park St.
