Day 357: New Years Eve Monte Carlo Bowling
Enjoy New Years Eve in Walla Walla at the 6th Annual New Years Eve Monte Carlo Bowling Party at Bowlaway Lanes! They will have appetizers, prizes, gifts, champagne or cider toast at midnight. Colored pin bowling with cash prizes and jackpots. Food and drink specials. Practice begins at 9pm with appetizers, Monte Carlo starts at 10pm. Bowling skill not required, fun for all skill levels! Day 356: The Sweet Putt
The Sweet Putt indoor golf course is now open. The indoor course provides challenge to the mini-golfers and is great entertainment for all ages. It is classified as a challenge course and has fast greens and wooden obstacles, The outdoor course is classified as an adventure course. It boasts long meandering greens and thematic obstacles. The Sweet Putt will be revealing more detailed designs each week in their weekly Name-The-Green contests for the Outdoor Course on their Facebook site. Groups are welcome. They also offer party options. The Sweet Putt is open daily December 26 throught 30th from 11am to 9pm, New Years Eve from 11am-3pm, New Years Day and January 2nd, 11am-9pm. School Hours begin January 3rd, 3-9pm Monday-Friday and 11am-9pm Saturday-Sunday. Green fees start at $2.50 for a 9 hole round. The Sweet Putt is located at 417 Wellington Avenue. Day 355: Imagination Yoga for Kids
Story time just got better! A certified Imagination Yoga® facilitator takes a class of young children on grand adventures as they imagine yoga in a castle, on a farm, in outer space, with the dinosaurs and many other exciting endeavors while learning beautiful yoga poses, greater concentration, increased relaxation, and body awareness. Children will experience creativity through visualization, breath, movement and music. This introduction to yoga builds strength, balance, and concentration through fun and imaginatination. These classes are instructed by Jennifer Matson, Certified Imagination Yoga Instructor.

Day 354: Women and Wine Book Club
Walla Walla Faces is hosting a Women and Wine Book Club on Tuesday, December 20th at 6pm. The club offers a great opportunity to share books with friends and new acquaintances. Day 353: Holiday Caberet
Walla Walla Faces is hosting a Holiday Caberet, Sunday December 18th. There will be a performance at 4pm and at 7pm. Proceeds from the event benefit Friends of Walla Walla. Some of the performers include Mark Brown, Gary Romjue, Jennifer Northam, and Emily Riley. Tickets for this holiday event are $20 each and can be purchased in advance at the Visitor Center at 26 E. Main St., at the Friends office at 120 E. Birch St. #10 or at the door at Walla Faces at 216 E. Main St. in Walla Walla.

Day 352: Walla Walla YWCA Ice Chalet
The Walla Walla YWCA Ice Chalet is now open. During the winter break, kids and adults can take advantage of the cheap skate days. Cheap skate days are Monday, Wednesday and Friday during the School Winter Break. Skating is open from 1-3pm, with a $3. admission fee. The Ice Chalet is also open on weekends, Friday 7-9pm, Saturday 2-4pm and 7-9pm, and Sunday 2-4pm. Admission for those days is $3.75 for ages 7-15, $4.75 for those over 16 years of age. Skate rental fees are $1.50. The Ice Chalet is located at 211 E Birch Street.

Day 351: Hansel & Gretel YWCA Candy House Decorating Event
The YWCA is having a Hansel and Gretel Candy House Decorating Event on Wednesday, December 21st at the YWCA. All ages are welcome. Parents of children 5 and under are asked to stay for the duration of the event. There are 3 sessions for the event, 1-2pm, 2-3pm and 3-4pm. The cost to attend is $5 plus the donation of a toy for the womens shelter. Toys should be unwrapped, new, and non-violent. To reserve a spot call the YWCA at 525-2570. The YWCA is located at 213 S 1st Avenue in Walla Walla.

Day 359: Dayton Christmas Light Tour
This is the last weekend to take a bus tour to see the Christmas Lights in Dayton. Columbia County Transportation is sponsoring a Christmas Light Tour and Christmas Light Contest. Those who go on the tour are given a ballet to vote for the best display of lights. The Tours are Friday, Saturday and Sunday, December 9th-11th at 7pm. The buses load passengers at the Dayton Elk Drug Store in Dayton, Washington.

Day 349: Dancin to Divas Dance Concert
Dancin to Diva's Dance Concert is Saturday, December 10 at the WWCC Performing Arts Theater. Substance Dance, WWCC Dancers, and the Soul Felons Crew will be performing 14 pieces of choreography with 50 dancers. There will be a 3pm Matinee Performance as well as a 7:30 evening show. Tickets are $5. for everyone over 5 years of age.

Day 348: Walla Walla University Church Christmas Concert
The Walla Walla University Church Christmas Concert, Eternal Purposes, is Friday, December 9th. There will be two free concerts at 6pm and 8pm. The concerts will feature beautiful sacred Christmas music. Selections of music will include Handel's Messiah, pieces by John Rutter and J. S. Bach, Carols arranged by David Willcocks, and other traditional music both familiar and new. The Walla Walla University Church is located on South College Avenue in College Place.

Day 347: Keep it Home for the Holidays Chamber Give Away
The Walla Walla Chamber of Commerce is encouraging shoppers to shop with some of their 700 members. Each Friday until Christmas, starting December 9th, the Chamber will giving away $100. They encourage shoppers to go to their web site a checkthechamber.com to find a Chamber member. Shoppers can bring a receipt or business card from a business member to the Chamber office to have a chance to win the weekly drawing, each Friday for $100. Shoppers can enter as often as they like. No purchase is required. The Walla Walla Chamber of Commerce is located at 129 E Sumach Street.

Day 346: Frazier Farmstead Museum Victorian Christmas Open House
Frazier Farmstead Museum is having a Victorian Christmas Open House on Wednesday, December 7th, between 4 and 7pm. They will be offering holiday sweets and hot spiced cider. The house is decorated in Grand Victorian style and features hand made and reproduction gift items for sale. The Frazier Farmstead Museum is located at 1403 Chestnut Street in Milton-Freewater.

Day 345: Holiday Barrel Tasting
The Valleys Wineries are decked out for the Holiday Season welcoming guests that visit them for the 2011 Holiday Barrel Tasting, December 2-4. Wine Makers will be on hand to introduce their new wines and future wines still in the barrel. Many will be offering delicious cheeses, chocolates, soups, and other tasty foods along with a variety of festivities. Those who stop by the wineries will have the opportunity to purchase wines that can only be found at the tasting rooms. Day 344: Walla Walla Farmers Holiday Market
The Farmers Market is back this Saturday for a Holiday Market. The 5th annual Holiday Market will be open from 10am to 2pm. Galin will be there with Asian Vegetables, Octopus Garden Honey will be selling their 100% Beeswax Candles, Tender Treasures will have hair bows that can be put on Christmas Packages, Czyhold Metal Design will have unique Christmas Trees made from recycled barbwire & tin, plus many other great vendors. The Holiday Made in Walla Walla Boxes will also be available. There are only 100 boxes made with two styles to choose from. The boxes includes an assortment of specialty treats, soaps, crafts, and decorations in a festive box. The boxes are $30. each and can be pre-ordered by calling
