Day 305: Walla Walla Crush

Enjoy the beautiful scenery in the vineyards of the Walla Walla Valley while doing a 1 mile walk, 5K walk/run or a 10K  run. The Blue Mountain Land Trust, Walla Walla Crush is scheduled for Saturday, October 8th at 9am at Pepper Bridge Farm.  The course winds through Pepper Bridge, North Star, Va Piano, and Gifford-Hirlinger Vineyards. Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female finishers for the 5K and 10K in each of the following age categories. Under 21, 21-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. Fresh fruit and other refreshments are free to all participants. There is an awards ceremony at 11 a.m.. All entrants are eligible for prize drawings after the awards ceremony. The entry fee is $10. The cost for a T-shirt is $15. and the fee for a Reidel Wine Glass is $20. The wine glass can be used for complimentary wine tasting during normal business hours on October 8, 2011 at participating wineries. To register for the event, call 509.525.3136. Proceeds from this event benefit The Blue Mountain Land Trust.  The Blue Mountain Land Trust is a Washington non-profit corporation with broad powers to preserve land for recreation, education, habitat, open space, farmland, forest land and historical purposes throughout the Blue Mountain region of southeastern Washington and northeastern Oregon.
